When you subscribe to FirstStake, we collect: your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely through Stripe — we do not store your credit card details). We may also collect usage data such as email open rates to improve our service.
We use your information to deliver daily intelligence reports to your inbox, process subscription payments, communicate service updates or disruptions, and improve the quality and relevance of our reports.
We use the following third-party services to operate FirstStake: Stripe for payment processing, SendGrid for email delivery, and Supabase for secure subscriber data storage. Each of these services maintains its own privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data storage, access controls, and secure API key management. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your subscriber information for the duration of your subscription plus 90 days after cancellation. After this period, your personal data is permanently deleted from our systems. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.
Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and opt out of data processing for certain purposes. Our daily reports are the core of the Service you subscribe to. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting support@getfirststake.com or using the unsubscribe link in any report email. We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and all applicable email regulations.
Our website does not use cookies or third-party tracking scripts. We may track email open rates and click-through rates via our email delivery provider to measure report engagement and improve content quality.
FirstStake is a B2B service designed for commercial general contractors. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age.
Our reports contain data aggregated from publicly available records including building permits, license registrations, and municipal filings across Texas. Some data is provided by the City of Fort Worth, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This data has been modified and adapted.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
